Dune Path to the Moors Pastel Landscape Painting

"Dune Path to the Moors"
Soft pastel on Belgian Mist 12x9"
Available through my Daily Painters Gallery
I've been taking a daily walk out into the dunes this week with a limited pastel palette and a set time limit of about an hour to create a study. The sand was warm on my bare feet and I was blocked from the breeze by a large dune. This path seems to be a favorite of deer, coyotes and fox (at least at this quieter time of the year). There were still a few dried beach plums around that I decided to save for the wildlife. An extreme high tide gave me reason to pastel quickly before the water view was gone.
