Provincetown Yellow Dory Pastel Painting by Poucher

Soft pastel on Wallis 5x7"
Available through Julie Heller East Gallery, Provincetown, MA

I used a yellow dry pastel underpainting for this piece and kept a light touch to allow the specks of yellow to shine through. This is a new dory moored in the West End of Provincetown harbor. I love this old style of boat that helps me to imagine what this historic fishing village was like long ago.

Day Off, Cape Cod Fishing Boats Painting by Poucher

"Day Off"
Soft pastel on Wallis Museum paper 8x10"

The fishing boats Eileen and Three Reasons rest in Provincetown harbor on a calm summer day.
I'm in Minnesota where the current temperature is -4 degrees and the windchill -24 degrees so picked a warm, sunny summer day painting to help ease the chill!
