Hatches Harbor plein air pastel painting revisited

"Hatches Harbor"
Soft pastel on Wallis Belgian Mist 8x10'

I'm out of Wallis paper! I had quite the stash but sadly now it is gone. So I'm going through my portfolio of old studies and either reworking them or brushing them off to reuse the paper. Some I have to hold on to as reminders of some extraordinary days out in the Provincelands.

This one from October 2007 with the tide in at Hatches was an unusually warm late afternoon with no wind. My walk took me through areas of yellow seaside goldenrod covered with migrating Monarchs.
